No more 3G in Italy...

My phone provider are disabling 3G here in Italy, info provided here
(in Italian):

but still 2G (and 4G) are provided. Compatibily with the disabling
schedule, my dongle stop working.

I've tried to put the SIm in a 'norma' phone, and seems that sim works
as expected.


Afer googling a bit i've found i had:

AT^SYSCFG?
^SYSCFG:2,1,3FFFFFFF,1,2

so i had auto search, prefere GSM, all bands, roaming supported, CS_PS.

I've tried to put 'GSM ONLY? and now i have:

AT^SYSCFG?
^SYSCFG:13,1,3FFFFFFF,1,2

but still dongle does not connect anymore:

So seems that the dongle even does not 'feel' the right network (that is not
Vodafone).

The dongle is a Vodafone-branded dongle: could be that, in 2G, need to be
unlocked?

EG. could be that the dongle need unlocking for 2G, but not fo 3G?
