If the operating system does not detect the camera, you must first make sure that the camera drivers are installed. In addition, do not forget that manufacturers of webcams strongly recommend installing the latest drivers. If you do not have the CD and installation files for your webcam, first of all, try to find them on the manufacturer's official website. If you could not find them there, do not hesitate to download free webcam drivers from our website.

I believe the best solution is to abandon the old IMAQ USB driver and replace the functions with ne IMAQdx ones.I did it on my computer and it works fine. The only change is that in my version you have to select a camera manually:

A blurry webcam image can be frustrating, especially if you're trying to use video chat. Sometimes, there's nothing you can do about a poor-quality cam, but before you chuck out your current cam, there are a few troubleshooting tips you can walk through. Keep in mind that your cam footage will depend heavily on your connection to other users. If you are experiencing persistent problems, however, it's time to get to the root of the issue.

Check the outer casing of your cam for a manual focus ring. This plastic ring is usually set within the frame of the cam. Turning the ring adjusts the focus, just like on a microscope or a camera lens. Not all cams have a focus ring. If you are using a built-in laptop cam, you may skip this step entirely.

Check your Internet connection. A poor Internet connection can result in a blurry or lagging image in video chat. If you are using a wireless connection, switching over to an Ethernet connection -- plugging directly into the router -- can improve your video quality as well.

Update your video drivers. Out-of-date video drivers can pose problems for webcams, especially if you have just installed a new cam. If your webcam requires its own driver software, check the manufacturer's website for any updates.

Hang up and start a new call if you are using video chat. While this may seem like an overly simple fix, many VoIP and video chat issues can be solved simply by establishing a new connection. If only one of your contacts is complaining about your video quality, it may be that the problem lies with their connection, not with yours.
