is the huawei K3565 working?

Hi,

i have an opportunity for a huawei K3565.
Is the voice activated by default ?
If no it is possible to activate the voice ?

I've two K3565, Vodafone branded, and both works. Only a little note,
there's need to use minicom and send a:

AT^U2DIAG=0

to disable all but modem, or linux kernel got crazy renumbering ty
port, and asterisk get crazy too.

Of the voice is activated by default?

you can check if the dongle is voice enabled with AT command AT+CLAC
the response must contain ^CVOICE, indicating is voice enabled

Mine was just ''voice activated'', as just stated, it was only needed
to disable all but modem not to confuse linux USB subsystem.

My dongle work now.

some information to share:

This dongle is a rebranded huawei E160 the brand is vodaphone used by proximus Belgium.

• The dongle is not locked (due to the belgium law), but the voice isn't enable in the original firmware
  
• step to get the voice working:
  

1. uninstall de original dashboard
   
2. download firmware, dashboard, and dashbord update from http://www.dc-files.com/files/huawei/modems/K3565/
3. install first the dashboard then the dashboard update then the firmware
4. download the E160 firmware from http://www.dc-files.com/files/huawei/modems/E160/
5. install the firmware
6. after that the dongle is not more usable from the dashbord but you can use the dongle with chan_dongle
