Hi Everyone,

Here is my update from yesterday. Sorry a day late, it was a bit crazy yesterday!

  1. All classes - we had several new people, but overall I felt like people did very well even with the large amount of information this phase.
  2. Trained Greg - he's down 2lbs. He still needs to dial in nutrition and decide how committed he is to the program overall. He has a deposition today, so we'll see what happens with that. I have him scheduled to train tomorrow at 10:30am. He is resigning for 2x per week - we will discuss the timeline with him tomorrow when he signs the contract)
  3. Program design - Karla, Sue & Lorie
  4. Did not get to my calls to members who missed classes

I'll send out a separate e-mail for today.

I thought Monday went ok. There is a lot of explanation with 3 exercises and modifications at each station. I do think we are going to need Janell there for a couple of weeks though because one trainer handling 2 stations may be difficult. Hannah and I discussed how the stations seemed to work better the way they were set up at 5:45 and 7 rather than the 9:15 setup. She was going to switch the order back.
 
At my station people were having a hard time with the last exercise -the flye. I think it is because people don't realize they have to go down to an orange but I demonstrated how I couldn't flye with orange and must tie it up and press overhead. They seemed to get it more on the second round but it will come with practice. People with white bands did not think that the modification (bent over arms extended) worked them that much but I insisted that they try it for now since they couldn't go an orange band either.

Yeah, the change was much better.  We didn't have that cluster at the end of the gym.

For the bent-over T-hold, two things:
1.  Perfect alignment is key.  I'll work with you on this.  People who don't find it hard aren't at a 90 degree angle.  They're letting there arms "fall" back and closing the armpit angle...because the T is actually too hard!
2.  For those who are perfect, give them 3 pound waits and watch them tremble!  :-)

Just want to say. I miss you all. I was so bummed I had to leave early yesterday. We are all trying to adjust to the new schedule.
