Hi Everyone,

Here is my list for the day -

  1. Taught classes this morning - no particular notes for anyone other than to continue to watch people's form
  2. Personal Training with Jenny Swan - She is starting bootcamp next week. I told her to do level 1 on everything and she is on board. Be sure to encourage her and correct her. Big issues are body control and breathing. She used to be a dancer so she likes sticking out her butt and pointing her toes. We need to help her develop her abs and keep her feet straight.
  3. Program design for AAA
  4. Verified weigh-in dates/times for members

If I don't see you, hope you have a great weekend!

Hannah

Thanks Hannah.

Overall, the sessions got better each hour (as usual) with coaching.  The Friday workout will take a couple workouts for people to figure out their weights.

I would like to point out that I think Cris did some of her best coaching that I've seen her do in 9:15 today.  Great job!

Our latest update on the challenge is...64.  :-(

I wouldn't be surprised if that crosses over 70 by the end of the night, but it's still terrible.  It's almost half what we had in the past.  I'm going to send an email out tomorrow to those who didn't sign up asking for some feedback.  I just don't get it, other than the fact that people don't want to eliminate certain foods out of their diets.  It's definitely NOT the price.

If we don't double the number of participants by the start of the last wave it's really going to suck because:
a) we're missing out on helping a lot of people
b) we're missing out on exposing FR to a lot of people
c) we're missing out on a lot of revenue
d) we're wasting a tremendous amount of resources by having 3 weigh-in and 3 weigh-out dates for such a small group.

Overall, Janell and I are extremely disappointed and frustrated with this challenge.  Janell worked her ass off putting this new manual together.  And, we spent more than we're making to advertise it - we took a chance with a mailer that did bring some people in, but it was still a $1700 expense.

FYI, the thought process behind doing the direct mailer was this...
Spend $1700
100 participants should be no problem = $2100
Come out $400 ahead, which is crap for all the work being put into it, but worth the experiment of seeing how much exposure we could get from the mailer.
Goal for mailer was 10 people out of 1800 (1/2 %).
10 x $21 is only $210 a big loss on $1700, BUT if just ONE of those people joined boot camp for a year we're looking at roughly 2k.  Now we're ahead for real...

Well, unfortunately we're way behind that plan...
Spent $1700
64 participants x $21 = $1344
We're behind $356.
I'm aware of 2 people that came from the mailer so far
- Lorraine who is starting Monday
- Stacey Nichols who is starting the following Monday
We need to blow them away so the sign-up!!  They're both GREAT leads.  They were both in orientation last night.  :-)

The rest of my day is emails and then a bunch of stuff I need to get done for FCG.

I've got an orientation tomorrow at 10:30 am.  Only 2 signed up so far...

I thought the day went well also. I can change stations with Janell if she feels more comfortable doing the station I did today.

I did hear from the 9:15 women (Sherry, Jamee, Pat and Krish) that they missed me leading them through the warmup/correctives on Wednesday. I have heard this before but I believe the issue can be resolved. Wednesday only has 2 trainers which is hard to juggle everything before the actual workout starts. Hannah is busy checking people in and it is hard to lead the warmup and check in and provide quality/focused attention to both. It will only get harder next week when Hannah has to get the specific card in the file and help the new people. So my suggestion is to have either Janell or Justin dedicated to getting the new people settled in/short explanation and then lead the warmup. Or I could come in for the 9:15 next week to help out. I just want to provide a good first impression for the new people as well as serve our current members.

I'm off to Maya's parents weekend in Iowa.

Thanks
Cris

I love these updates!  Thanks everyone!

I have a handful of people I'm still getting in touch with regarding their Orientations.  Right now we are at 3 confirmed for tomorrow.

In looking at the calendar, I can't believe that Austria is already next Tuesday...  I thought we should probably have a discussion about duties, particularly IFS and how to handle that when I'm gone.  The attendance, if agreed upon, isn't a big deal to wait and I can take care of that when I return.  I would imagine the biggest piece is IFS and watching the tasks that come in.

Justin, what are your thoughts on how this should be handled?  Is there something I can do between now and Tuesday to help support/prep for me being gone?

As for my day, I'm wrapping up some IFS tasks (confirming Orientation, scheduling, mailing) along with attendance and working on the interview writings.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Janell will be taking over Jen's IFS tasks while she's in Austria.

Jen, please bring Janell the stuff for welcome letters and bracelet letters so she can do those while you're gone.
