Following are the minutes of yesterday's meeting:

1. Idea:
   
1. Asking students to build the teaching models on spot within 3 hours
2. Models will targeted to make understand the concepts simpler for students
3. Students can take up any concept in Science and Mathematics
4. Students from rural places Byahatti, Kiresuru, Kusugal, Hebasuru and Sulla
5. Intention is to bring up the creative/innovative ideas out of students
2. Students will get their own required materials
3. Students need to plan such that they can build the model within 3 hours
   
4. Currently plan is to target 8 primary schools and 5 High schools from above places
   
5. Prizes will be given in 3 categories:
   
1. 1st std to 4th std
2. 5th to 7th
3. 8th to 10th std
6. 2 students in a group will do 1 model
   
7. We will request each school to send 1group under each category
8. Jagadish Patil will mail the list of schools and also letter that will be sent to respective schools
9. Venue will a school in Byahatti. Jagadish Patil has talked to the school HM already and he has agreed
10. Date: 18th of August 2012
11. Schedule
1. Timing: 9am to 12pm model development for students
2. 12pm to 1pm High tea
3. 1pm to 2pm explanation, small concluding function which includes prize distribution,guest speaking
   
12. 1 certificate+2 notebooks will be given to each participant
13. Prizes will be something that students can use. Eg. schools bags, compass box, abacus,..( open for suggestions)

Budget:

1. Total 42 students(8 primary school * 4 students(2 groups) + 5 High schools * 2 students)
1. Approximately 50 certificates
2. Estimated cost: 400/-
   
2. 9 prizes in 3 categories as 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1. Considering around 2000/-, 1000/- and 500/- for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively
2. Estimated cost:11,500/-
3. 2 Banners:
1. Estimated cost: 700/-
4. High Tea:
1. considering 55 from schools(students with 1 teacher from each school)
2. 20 including champions+DF members
3. Considering 20/- per person
4. Estimated cost: 1500/-
5. Notebooks:
1. 2 notebooks per participant
2. 15/- per book
3. Estimated cost: 630/-
   
6. 1000/- buffer amount
   
7. Total budget: ~16000/- 

Responsibilities:

1. Budget arrangement - Mallamma to give some contacts
   
2. Getting a letter from DF and getting approval from BEO - Jagadish Patil
3. Sending invitation letters to schools - Jagadish Patil
4. Judges-
   
5. Certificates-Pranesh
6. Prizes-Pranesh
7. Notebooks-
8. Banners-Pranesh
9. High Tea arrangement-Jagadish Patil
