21 MCHS students attended the University of Kentucky's Engineering day on
Saturday, February 22nd, 2014. MCHS teachers, Kelly Shaw and Brandi
Ethridge accompanied the group along with Race to the Top College & Career
Counselor Eric Sexton. Students were exposed to a variety of contests and
exhibits throughout UK's campus. Just to name a few, exhibits such as lego
bridge building, thermal imaging, mining engineering and fire demonstrations
were available. Students were also able to see a variety of vendors from
various careers and employment paths. After the event students were treated
to a late lunch at Joe Bologna's and stopped by the Kennedy Bookstore.
