About the standard lab and code reuse

We're doing the standard lab 4 in the functional programming course, implementing a simple graphical calculator. In the first part when defining how to handle expression there are a lot of code from the slides that can be reused almost without any modification. Is it ok for us to use these code snippets as long as we are explicit about what we have written ourselves and what we essentially have copy pasted from the slides?


You can reuse, but you must read the lab description carefully (especially if you have not attended the lectures) otherwise you will reuse too much and you will be asked to make changes.
