Outage due to DoS attack this afternoon

Hello,

We're terribly sorry for the outage this afternoon. We were the target of a DoS attack, and despite our site handling it well, our service provider had to null route our IP to clear the network disruption.

To lessen the impact of a future attack, we'll be routing traffic through a 3rd party outside of our data center. The 3rd party will block bad bots and has options for mitigating attacks should they appear. I'm hoping the bot filtering won't affect any API users, but if it does, please notify us (http://challonge.com/static/contact) so we can whitelist your IP(s). This routing switch will be made later this evening around 7:30-8pm Eastern.
