As promised, I’ve attempted to contact KIPP academy this morning to re-schedule the tour and interview. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it moved and she really didn't have any flexibility in her calendar. That being said, we are scheduled to meet this Friday April 9th at 12:30P.M.

 

I realize this time conflicts with a few schedules and I myself have to take an earlier flight from Phoenix to make the appointment work for the group. I'm really hoping we can have full participation given the fact that our presentation lacks clarity and content.  

 

 At this time, please respond to all including Professor Wright so I can get a final count and correlate the details.

Hey Nick and Group,
 
As I previously stated, this Friday is the absolute worse day for me as far as making it out to Kipp Academy due to work:  the keeper (stable hand) asked off over two months ago, and I have over five horses scheduled for training and another few scheduled for longeing that day.  However, I realize how important it is that we get all the information we can as our entire project is now Kipp Academy.  I will therefore go to Kipp on Friday.  Nick, I recognize you are rescheduling your flight and work obligations as well.  This does however mean I am leaving several paying clients' horses unattended for a significant period of time, (which if VERY bad business) and will have to make up the training over the weekend in addition to the other lessons and training sessions I have scheduled for the weekend. If anyone else can also please come with us, even if you have to miss a class (Jennifer Rose, I know you can't due to absences in your class) or call in sick to work or take a half day, that would be awesome.
 
For those who will not be going, would you be willing to put together the project over the weekend, and the powerpoint presentation, etc.?  Maybe we can all meet up on Monday evening to run through everything?  I just will not be able to do anything this weekend if I go Friday due to my busy schedule and taking on the obligations I'm passing up Friday.
 
I really hope everyone else can go!

Jennifer Rose, Jennifer Hughes, and I have talked and think that at this point in would be easier to do Burbank High School (SAISD) rather than KIPP Academy, as it seems no one can easily make it to KIPP on Friday, and we've all done a lot of work already on SAISD and have interviews with Burbank.  That way we don't have to delay starting on the presentation and putting the project together until after Friday.  I have already done all the internal communication stuff for SAISD, Jennifer (Rose) has done the history and collected a lot of stats, and Jennifer (Hughes) has done interviews with Burbank.  We already have all the information we need, and we have the policies/procedures handbook, and parent/student handbook as well.
 
Nick, we appreciate your efforts to set up an arrangement with KIPP Academy.  Unfortunately, they just did not respond for weeks (well over a month I believe) and it just seems like it is too close to our deadline, and there are too many scheduling conflicts now at this point.  It would be so much easier to do Burbank High School.  KIPP would have been ideal and very interesting, but it just doesn't seem to be working out and we don't want to be rushed at the last minute, plus everyone wants to go if we do KIPP and I don't think anyone else can make it Friday... I hope you understand.
 
We were discussing meeting before classes tomorrow (Tuesday) and Thursday; anyone who can make it either day can just show up outside of the classroom between 5:30 and 7, and we can get to work!  See you all tomorrow!

First off, Thank you very much for rescheduling your Friday; I greatly appreciate your dedication missy! Likewise, I will have to make up some work over the weekend so I think its a great idea for those who can't attend to assist with the PowerPoint etc.  

 

Hopefully, I will see everyone in class tonight to hammer out the final details!

Nick, did you not receive my e-mail regarding our project?  The majority of the group has voted to do Burbank High School instead of KIPP since a lot of people have already done so much work and can't make it on Friday.  We are meeting before class tonight, outside of the classroom (anytime after 5:30).
