Please use the list of questions to conduct your interviews - You will
need to cut & paste into a word document - I couldn't figure out how
to add an attachment.

If you see anything that needs to be changed or added, just let me
know.

The interviews are due on Thursday, 3/4.

Interview Questions


1. How do you communicate your dress code to parents and students?

2. How do you communicate school closings due to inclement weather
conditions? (Via television, phone calls, etc. I believe this
differs for private and public schools.)

3. How do you contact and inform parents of disciplinary issues
regarding their children?

4. In what ways do you inform parents of PTA or other parent/teacher
organization meetings and events?

5. How do you inform parents of social events, i.e. fairs,
fundraisers, bake sales, school/classroom holiday parties, etc.?

6. In what ways do you communicate school and teacher policies and
procedures to your faculty?

7. What are some problems you have encountered in the past in regards
to communication misunderstandings/breakdowns between the
administration and faculty, and did you manage to overcome those
issues?

8. What are some of the communication mediums you use in your school?

9. How has communication changed or developed over recent years
within your school?

10. Who exactly handles the communication aspect of the business?

11. What do you think communication will look like in the future in
your industry?

12. Who can send out communication to the students, what type of
checks and balances do you have?

13. How does the principal react with children, if they are in
trouble?

14. How many times a year does the school hold festivities?

15. On Fridays, can the children have Free dress Friday? Where the
children
come out of uniform and wear regular clothes. If so, what are the
requirements?

16. If a child were to bring drugs on campus, how is the situation
handled?

17. How long is the lunch period for the children?

18. What are the different communication mediums you use within the
school? What are each of these used for?

19. How are parents encouraged to communicate with the school?

20. How are students encouraged to communicate with the school/
teachers?

21. How does the district communicate with the faculty?

22. How does the district communicate with the families of students?

23. How does the school board communicate with the faculty and
families?
24. What is the position of the school on TV interviews? Who can
talk to
the press, what is the protocol?
