It's some days, after latest update of thunderbird that I have some stability issue and now I can't even read remote images in the messages.
I set the options to even show every remote image, but can't fix.

Then, after some use of the program, it starts to show inconsistent text in the mail (rectangles instead of characters) and I have to restart it to solve.
I started it in console, but no errors are shown.

The only message is: kf5.kio.core: Refilling KProtocolInfoFactory cache in the hope to find "imap"

I forgot to test it without extensions. I'll try it and if solves I'll add a comment here.
