Its advantage over more sophisticated tools is that if you do software development it can help you quickly peek into the state of the system without switching any windows, launching any apps or switching to desktop. You can just look at the tray and say "Okay, my disk-intensive Python script is still running, no need to check it in the terminal". It's like htop, but you don't even need to click anything, the widget is always there.
If Exited (Quit), the Omniverse Omniverse Nucleus will shut down along with associated services. It also will be removed from your system tray. To restart the system monitor, you will need to use the windows start menu to locate the Omniverse System Monitor found in the shortcuts installed with Omniverse. A Quick search for Omniverse Should reveal it.
If you are experience issues with your nucleus localhost, the first thing to check is that your system monitor is running. Please look in your windows system tray and check that the omniverse system monitor is running. It may be hidden so use the chevron to locate.
Hello to all of you. I have a pc with 500Gb hard disk memory. All of my file are stored in the Dropbox file and they are available only on line. The size of the stored files on dropbox are 1.6 T. Is it normal to have almost full my Hard disk? I keep getting messages that is almost full (used space 475GB of 510GB). Any suggestions? Thank you all!
Sets the auto-size property. Auto-size determines whether the tray image is automatically sized to fit the space allocated for the image on the tray. By default, the auto-size property is set to false.
Task Manager adds one small system resource icon to the system tray that shows RAM (system memory), CPU (central processor), network, and disk drive utilization when running. I have a windows server 2003 vm. The disk size that windows shows is 204gb divided into 2 drives, C: & D: the total used space showing in windows is186gb. When I check the size of the actual virtual machine files (2gb files not preallocated) on the host, the size is 151gb. Could this be caused by fragmentation?
I found why the used disk space in Windows was much higher than expected, but I'm not sure why this wasn't reflected in the size of the VM. I found appx 40gb of "wiper" files, which were created when I performed a shrink operation on the VM about a week or so ago. The "wiper" files are created by the shrink operation to write over deleted files. After removing these files I now have 29% free space and was able to defrag.
To increase your logical disk space, you can also unmount it from you VM, then mount it as a secondary to another VM. You can increase the disk space when it's mounted to the new VM. I'm obviously skipping many steps in between, but I've found that to be the easiest way. Only takes a short period of time. But, you have to turn off the VMs before you can unmount from one and attach it to the other. I can provide more detailed instructions if anyone is interested.
I am on start11 v1.4.7.2-j319 using current Windows 10 and the volume icon is still sometimes there, mostly not there in the systray on my main monitor. So, I confirm there is still an issue. My Laptop is fine with jsut one monitor, but the tower with two monitors continues to have the problem. I can use the volume icon on monitor two, but it is a nuisance.

To free up space, back up files to an external disk; Microsoft recommends doing this within the Windows 10 File History setting, although File History can also back up to a network location. File History is located within Systems & Security in the Control Panel.

There's a setting (and a GPO) to show all the icons of the system tray, but there's too many useless icons to show them all. It get worst when a user hooks up their laptop to a projector; with the small resolution of the display (most projectors resolution is 1024x768) and the "show all icons" settings enabled, there's hardly enough space in the task bar for two or three applications at the same time.
