Hello everyone,

I’ve scheduled a ride this Friday at 4:00 PM, at the DTE M52 trailhead. I will be joined by Sam Fauser and we will be riding our fatty’s, so It will be at a somewhat moderate pace.

Paul, can you add Sam to our chain reaction group so he can join in future ride opportunities?

Done! Sam has been added.

Was thinking of all of you this past weekend when I took my Remedy in for service. My recovery is going well and every day seems to be better than the day before. I was only on restrictions (no use of the right hand) for two weeks and then told to avoid activities with vibration and where my wrists cannot be in a neutral position. I get my left hand fixed in early January so I am hopeful 2021 will see many more miles on the trails.

One recommendation for anyone who is getting numbness in your hands while riding or performing other routine functions, get it checked out by your doctor. Although I am expecting full recovery my chances would have been much greater had I gotten this fixed six years ago. It takes time for the nerves to regenerate. I learned carpal tunnel problems have grown to 1 in 8 people and activities like biking can be a contributing factor. This happens due to both positioning of your hands and the compression of the nerves which take place when gripping the handlebars.

See you all soon--Paul

Sorry to be a spoiler, but looks like DTE will be closed for a few days due to freeze/thaw conditions.

Hey gang,
Because of freeze/thaw, DTE is “officially” closed until further notice.
Might want to hit the Poto or ride under the cover of darkness!!
