Hello, this relates to software instruments, not hardware. I've tried to understand how the routing works within Logic before, but I've always come unstuck, so at this point please just assume I'm an idiot, and explain it like I'm 5. I've looked for answers in the manual but can't find them (eh?)

ISSUE
I have software instrument that generates basslines. It always triggers whatever track/software-instrument is currently selected as well as the track it is on. So, for example, say I want to have the bass line play and then play along on piano, I can't, because as soon as I select the piano track the bassline will play on the piano. I'd like to prevent this.

As you can see from the pic, I've tried changing all the MIDI port stuff in frustration but this changes nothing - and I'm guessing these settings relate only to MIDI hardware and chaining?

I am not using the 'ALL' MIDI channel for the bass instrument, so why are all the other instruments picking up its MIDI signals?

Appreciate the response. These instructions are in order to get another instrument to play the bassline (instead of, or as well as Bass Dragon). I'm actually trying to do the opposite. Regardless of what input I choose for Bass Dragon, any other selected track also plays the bass. This seems like an error to me. Does it sound like one to you? As you can see from the image in the first post, Bass Dragon is set to Channel 5. However, the Piano still plays the bassline even when the Piano is set to Channel 1.

I've got Captain Chords - I've only used it a few times but it makes a handy comparison. It has its own plugin window into which you add chords - so it seems like it's the chord equivalent of bass Dragon.

Thanks for all your help!

With this AI bass generator plugin, you can generate a bass line that fits your track perfectly in just a few clicks. Simply open the plugin, click the Unison logo button in the middle of the interface, and Bass Dragon will generate a bass line tailored to your track.

To generate a new bass sound, all you need to do is click the Unison logo button on your bass sound within the plugin interface. Bass Dragon will then generate a new type of bass sound with different effects applied. This is similar to scrolling through your DAW, trying to find the perfect bass sound, but without the endless scrolling and time-consuming trial and error.

The bass sounds generated by Bass Dragon are not just random sounds. They are carefully crafted and tailored to fit your track. This means you can get a unique bass sound that complements your music and enhances the overall production.

Arranged for unchanged tenor voices, this traditional tall tale of a dragon slayer is quite comical, making it a fun story to sing. With accessible melodic ranges and plenty of unison singing, this bouncy rendition of "a tale of long ago" is an appropriate fall concert or festival selection.

You have an insane list of genres to pick from, and the basslines generated seem infinite. But you can also work entirely within the plugin thanks to its built-in synth. Plus, you have a total of 9 effects including filtering, bitcrushing, and more to process your basses.

Unison Bass Dragon is an exceptional AI plugin that allows you to generate endless bass lines quickly. Whether you are working on any genre, Unison Bass Dragon empowers you to drag the MIDI directly into your DAW and use any synthesizer of your choice. The plugin itself comes with a built-in synth, allowing you to audition different bass lines within your track's Context until you find the perfect one. While the AI-generated bass lines are impressive, you can still customize them further by applying different synths and processing techniques.
