Hi All
I am not sure if my last email got through as I have had no replies. I apologise if you get this twice but I am becoming concerned. I will not be able to attend the next meeting so I need some-one to step up to take the minutes and prepare them for the following meeting.
I am disappointed that this meeting has been shoved around so much and suggest that we need to be a bit more disciplined regarding scheduling.
There are a number of critical issues that need resolution as soon as possible; particularly regarding expenditure plans. We must acknowledge that Paul has been extraordinarily successful in raising sponsors’ money; but also that this represents a real reputational risk to our group and, by association, the school unless we can come up with credible spending plans or projects in the short term. I think it would be unacceptable (and I am concerned that some sponsors may agree) to end the season with our coffers stuffed and no plans to spend. It is also important that we establish a set of strategic goals regarding more long term projects before the end of the season.
The suggestion box email that I circulated with the minutes (and which Kev has previously circulated) needs to be considered NOW and some decisions made. It seems to me that there are some obviously worthy projects amongst the suggestions. There are others that we have previously considered and rejected (not to say that we should automatically continue to follow precedent).
I am not happy that the freewheeling exchange of emails necessarily works for important decisions such as these. If decisions cannot be reached then we could set up a poll (using on-line survey services) to register votes; but to my mind nothing beats a frank face to face discussion of pros and cons when it comes to efficient and effective decision making.
In my absence I would be grateful if someone could run through that list (which I had intended to be the material of my report) and if the group could start ruling some out and actioning others.
The reason for the urgency is simple…the school holidays are approaching and although there may not be much snow to speak of it is likely that many will be away and so from a practical viewpoint the next meeting could be almost 2 months away. And that could well be the last meeting before the end of the season.
Regards
Andrew
Hi Everyone,
After a flurry of emails that revealed that the attendance would be extremely low last Wed it was suggested by me to move to this week.
I also wish to see some movement and decisions made.
Can I suggest we do a roll call and those attending tomorrow night please advise so?
And maybe those that can’t should nominate a Proxy? This way we could get some clear outcomes and those who cannot make it could at least now that they have contributed vote wise…
We have our suggestion ist on the site (currently excludes the latest version of Connor Barretts equipment list).
Thoughts?

I will be there. I agree that we need to make some decisions re-spending.

Of course you are right Vanessa.

Dear all,
We already have a scrum sled in the JS and do not require another one.
Thanks

As I will not be attending the meeting tomorrow evening, Norm Korte has full authority to act on my behalf (ie. proxy vote).
Good luck and I look forward to seeing some very positive outcomes.
Thanks Norm.

Hello everybody
I will be attending tonight but can I get some clarification on where the meeting is to be held? As I am only new to the school I would appreciate the assistance of someone in guiding me to where exactly it is that I need to get to.
Thank you in advance for the assistance.
Regards
Chris
