The semi finals are just around the corner.
To assist us in advising all succesful semi final teams I ask that all scores form round 12 be entered by 11am this Sunday morning. This will allow us time to apporve results and work out semi final positions / teams.
I will send out a mail with the teams to play in the semi’s Monday.
I have attached the semi final venues and times (tab 1) and grand final times (tab 2). Please note there are time changes.
Please pass the following information to your coaches, managers of teams that progress to the
NOTE TO ALL: Please ensure all participants are aware of our commitment to the Good Sport / Fair Play and codes of behaviour policies. Any person disregarding these polices and behaviours will be asked to remove themselves from the venue. Clubs are responsible for their own teams and spectators. Ground Marshals will be asking club officals to assist in addressing any issues.
No one is to be inside the ropes except for the actual 30 players contesting the game and the three officials (referee and two touch judges / referee assistants).
Coaches and managers may enter the field of play at half time.
Water runners are to remain behind the ropes and may only enter the field of play after a try is scored or if time is called due to an injury.
Each team is allowed two water runners. One of these is to carry the tee. (A Coach / Asst Coach and Manager are not a water runner)
Sports trainers / medical staff are to remain behind the ropes unless there is an injury. They must be qualified.
All reserves are to remain behind the ropes unless moving to the touch judge / referees assistant prior to making a substitution.
Replacements: Under 14 and below will play with rolling substitutions that are unlimited in number, and all games of age group U15 and above will play with rolling substitutions that are limited to 12 movements.
U15 teams and above should have 12 substitution cards, numbered 1 through 12. This card is to be handed to the opposition team manger prior to the substitution taking place.
Teams must be ready to take the field prior to the advertised kick off time. This will only change if a previous game has been held up due to extra time. Ground Marshals are to assit the referee in making sure teams are ready to go and be on the field for the designated kick off time.
There is no injury time. If scores are level at full time, five (5) minutes each way extra time will be played. If the scores are level after this period the team finishing highest on the ladder will move through to the Grand final.
The following are not allowed at any venue - Dogs, Smoking and Alcohol.
Semi Final Hosts: All clubs hosting semi finals are to have a ground marshal. The marshal is to be clearly identified (high vizy vest) The ground Marshal is a representative of the ACTJRU.
All clubs hosting semis
Please advise me that you are good to host an age group.
Must provide a Canteen
All fields are to be roped off and Code of Conduct signs errected.
All venues are to supply a Senior Ground Marshal to over see the venue and games. It is highly recommended that Venues with two grounds have a ground manage at each field. They would stand near half way and be responsible to manage that ground and both teams. Frees up the Senior Ground Marshal to move freely around the venue.
Ground Marshals are a represenative of the ACTJRU.
Ground marshals are to be highly visable and actively walking around each ground.
Where possible at the completion of each game the ground marshall / ground manager should be near the referee. If only one ground marshal available host club officals to assist.
It is higly recommended that the two teams should be located on the same side of the field and that all substitutions should enter from one side of the field.
All clubs to email Mick Pini their Ground Marshals names and mobile numbers. Please ensure the ground marshal is provided my Mobile Details 0406 346 529 or 0413 016 987
