Assistance Required with Configuring CGRATES (FreeSWITCH-CGR) for Initial Test Call

Hello Everyone, 

I have successfully set up the Docker environment for CGRates using the repository https://github.com/MrGab/cgrates-fs-docker.git, and the containers are up and running.

As I'm still new to CGRates, OpenSIPS, and their configurations, I'm seeking assistance with setting up FreeSWITCH-CGR. Specifically, I need help configuring the, SIP Profiles, Dial Plans, Required XML Configuration Files.

My goal is to get a basic test call working, and I would appreciate detailed guidance to help me get started.

To run a test call, please refer to this link: https://cgrates.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tutorial.html# . This section provides detailed instructions on the steps required to run a test call.

I’m not sure if you're using FreeSWITCH, OpenSIPS, or planning to try both as your default SIP server. However, each SIP server has its own subsection in the documentation that covers how to configure it with CGRateS, so you can follow the instructions for the SIP server you're using.

Once you’ve completed the test calls, feel free to reach out if you encounter any issues or have specific questions.

Thank you for your response, Since I am already having this link I see it is limited to Debian or Redhat based setup, my question is specific to containarised setup, How can I test a call if I have a setup running from this repo:  https://github.com/MrGab/cgrates-fs-docker.git

Hi Amisha,

As much as we would love to help, it is almost impossible for us to support external resources. We already do quite some efforts with supporting community on 3 different branches which they start to be almost like 3 different software.

If you could come up with more specific questions, CGRateS related, it will make things move faster.

Thank You for your response, I am new to CGRATES, I am trying to do a containerised setup using the link I mentioned above, But If you could guide me from where I can do a containerised setup that would also be very helpful. 

With this setup I am encountering two issues: 

1. When I am trying to add data and proceed to CGR-LOADER it says Bad input and same csv files are working on Debian setup. 

2. When am trying to run start FreeSWITCH, (validating from postman) it's giving 404-not found error. 

Either you can guide me with the working repo I can clone to get my containers running, Since I require my setup on docker only.

IMHO If you want to get started with Cgrates i would advise you to not complicate your setup , for example if you want to run freeswitch on container you ll get some trouble like service not starting , you ll be dealing with many source of problems so better to start on clean CGRATES on debian setup VM not Container and clean Freeswitch on VM as well.

After being familiar with Cgrates and freeswitch you can move to docker .

Hello, 

Thank You for replying, but the issue is I am  unable to get started with Debian based setup as well, Do you have any guide to get started with it on a MacBook? 

I have done 2-3 setup but all in bits and pieces and neither of them are working. If you have any guide how I can proceed with setup, Please tell me.
