Please join Northeast Georgia Farm to School for our upcoming Garden Mind Workshop -- a workshop for teachers interested in starting or expanding their school garden, and integrating the garden into their classroom curriculum. 


Garden Mind Workshop will be on July 20th from 9:30am - 3pm at South Jackson Elementary. Lunch will be provided. Please email Molly at kidsmeal...@foodbanknega.org if you are interested in attending. 


What will the workshop include and cover?: Interactive demos on building, planting, and growing a school garden. Interactive cooking demos on how to use produce from the garden in taste tests. How to integrate school gardens into classroom curriculum. How to integrate school gardens into cafeteria. 

What you will get for attending: A “Plan of Action” for either starting or expanding your garden. A recipe and instructions for a taste test. Ideas for incorporating your garden into your curriculum. Ideas for incorporating your garden into the cafeteria. The contact information for your School Nutrition Director and other School Nutrition Staff. Get to meet and receive ongoing support throughout the school year from teachers in your region that are working with school gardens. (Teachers in attendance will have opportunity to join a NE GA Farm to School Teacher Google Group to share ideas and challenges).
