Also, we have a very large group right now- it is really important that children attend the appropriate practice time to allow for best instruction and pool space
Pre team= swimmers with very little swimming background. We will be focusing on the fundamentals of strokes. Swimmers should be comfortable in the water, but do not have to be able to swim any distance
Beginner= swimmers can swim 25 yds unassisted. We will be learning all 4 competitive strokes in a progressive fashion, beginning with free.
Intermediate= swimmers can follow sets on intervals with guidance from the coach. Swimmers should have a general understanding of all 4 competitive strokes and should be able to swim IM's. We will be refining strokes and improving speed/endurance
Advanced= typically ages 11+ with some exceptions. Swimmers should be able to follow sets on intervals with little to no guidance from the coach. We will be improving technique, learning to be healthy athletes, improving speed, and building endurance. Warm ups start at 300-500 yards
