In today's class we will start off by working on some excel exercises from the stable. Excel is one of the main components of Micro Soft office and its a way of doing calculations, organizing data and drawing graphs on computers. It was one of the "killer applications " that brought in the computer revolution of the 1980s . Basic excel is easy and fun to do. I will also be using the projector to show how to do basic formula and later on in future lesson show people how to do charts. This will also help everyone doing the survey in Paul's class. You might want to look at this video to give you a bit of a head start . Google docs also has a spread sheet in google docs you can look at a tutorial here
In the second half of the class we will look at Google presentation. This will be an opportunity to practice some of the linking skills we practiced last week. The slide show will be an exposition or instructions for something you are into or like. You will need :
- At least five slides
- Include and link in photos or images
- Embed 1 youtube
- Link to external web pages
