CFWheels on Lucee

Hi, I'm new to CFWheels and Lucee, I downloaded both but I have not idea how to setup CFWheels on Lucee. Can any one assist please.

Hi Mustafa

I'm assuming you've download the Express (stable) version from http://lucee.org/downloads.html ; if not, check http://docs.cfwheels.org/v1.4/docs/installation for IIS/Apache details

Once downloaded, go get the latest version of Wheels (you'll want the latest, 1.4.1 for lucee support) from http://docs.cfwheels.org/v1.4/page/download

Unzip the contents of the cfwheels zip into the webroot of the express version.

(replace the contents of /webapps/ROOT/ with your cfwheels installation)

Now, start the lucee server, (run startup.sh or startup.bat)

Hopefully, at localhost:SOMEPORT you should now see the welcome screen.

Now try some tutorials:

There's lots of documentation here  -http://docs.cfwheels.org to get stuck into.

Dear Tom,

I've done this and I got the below error:

Lucee 5.0.0.49 Error (expression)
Message	key [WHEELS] doesn't exist
Stacktrace	The Error Occurred in D:\cfm\webapps\ROOT\wheels\index.cfm: line 1 1: <cfoutput>#application.wheels.dispatch.$request()#</cfoutput> called from D:\cfm\webapps\ROOT\index.cfm: line 1

Hi  Mustafa;

I noticed you've download the beta version of lucee (i.e, 5.x ) which wheels hasn't been tested against - I would recommend the stable version (4.5) for now.

Just to confirm, I see the same issue as you in the express version 5.0.0.49 - at this stage, it's hard to know whether it's a lucee thing (5.x was, and is still being, a fairly big change) or a wheels thing.

Yes you are right. When I installed the correct version it worked just fine.

Great. We are testing against the 5.x release, but there are some large bugs which prevent wheels from even starting – we’ve logged them with lucee, so we’ll keep an eye on it!
