When I make a change to a settings file, I have to restart
Coldfusion. Adding ?reload=true doesn't reload the framework. Can
anyone give me some ideas as to why I am unable to reload through the
url?

Thanks, Debbie

Hello Debbie,

There are a couple things to check out here:
  • Do you have a reload password set as well? If so, you need to include &password=yourpassword in the URL along with the ?reload=true

  • Does the environment set in environment.cfm match the configurations that you're adding? config/settings.cfm is the "master" than runs in all environments, but if you're adding your settings to config/design/settings.cfm and running in production mode, then those settings will not run. :)
Hope this helps you to uncover what may be going on under the hood. Needing to restart CF every time would certainly be a downer!
