As much as the idea of collaboration is great and is the fact that
would make the journal unique and differentiate from others, it is to
be noted that the following limitations would be encountered.

1. North - South collaboration will be possible in articles that
discuss topics common to both regions
2. Certain articles will encourage South - South or North - North
collaboration only.
3. Certain articles discussing case studies or a report as such, would
limit the extent of collaboration to a great level.
4. What happens to people with a developing delegation or one that has
no capacity of developing a delegation currently and operates alone?
How do summer conferences apply to them?
5. Should we really pursue the concept of "Summer / Winter
Conferences"? It is not exactly a global approach!

Am I making sense? Let's please discuss.

It will take some time to have actual south-north collaboration. it
woudl begin only as north- north and south-south. The post-
publication conferances would be a good way to have south-north
collaboration in terms of debating and sharing ideas. Individual
contributions woudl make sense at this stage as well as I mentioned
earlier, especially with case studies.
Thus, I see post- publication conferances playing a very important
role as a site for collaborative thinking.
