For the first time, FSSC Requirements have been incorporated in the IRCA Approved Lead Auditor Training on ISO 22000:2005, thus two standards requirements under one umbrella!!!

This course aims to provide you with the opportunity to learn about the subject of auditing of food safety management systems, specifically those based on the ISO 22000:2005 international standard.

At the end of the course you should be able to:

· Describe the purpose of an Food Safety Management System,

· Explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO 22000, IS0 15161 and ISO 9001

· Interpret the requirements of ISO 22000 in the context of an audit,

· Describe the roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors,

· Plan and conduct an audit in accordance with ISO19011, demonstrating the ability to:

- Plan and prepare effectively,

- Gather objective evidence through effective interviewing, observation, sampling and note taking,

- Analyze and interpret information in order to determine conformance

· Report the audit, including writing valid, factual and value-adding non-conformity reports,

· Undertake audit follow-up activities, including evaluating the effectiveness of corrective action.

· Understand the role of Accreditation Bodies, Certification Bodies, IRCA

Who should attend?

Participants who possess understanding of the content, application and implementation of food safety management system in their organization.

For successful completion of the course; we recommend you have;

· Knowledge of the auditing requirements of ISO 22000, ISO / TS 22002-1 & FSSC Part I requirements

· Knowledge of the following food safety management principles and concepts and applying it for continual improvement.

· Understand the requirements & benefits of FSSC 22000 scheme

· Explain the interrelationship of various standards / documents like FSSC 22000, ISO 22003, ISO 17021 & ISO 19011

· Understand principles of auditing and audit as a process

· Describe the roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors,

· Plan and conduct an audit in accordance with ISO 19011 & FSSC guidance documents,

· Report the audit, including writing valid, factual and value-adding non-conformity reports.
