Greetings. I've been absolutely loving ColdFusion for TextMate
lately, and I'm hoping to continue to use it. It appears as though
ColdFusion 9 support is lacking though. I was curious if any further
development efforts were continuing, or if this is something I'm going
to have to work on myself. Much thanks.

You just want the new tags added in or ?

here are the new tags... if I get bored tonight and feel like messing with it I'll add stuff in

The automated way cftextmate gets it's dictionary information is via
cfeclipse dictionaries. It uses a bunch of build scripts and XSLT to
generate the tmbundles. If there is a CF9 cfeclipse dictionary, you
can feed it to the build process to generate a new cf9 bundle.

You can get all the stuff here: http://github.com/robrohan/coldfusion.tmbundle

Since I am not using textmate for coldfusion work anymore, someone
might want to either take it over, or maybe just fork the current
bundles and start updating them by hand. The build process is a bit
complicated, but if you have any questions I'll try to help.

Cheers,
rob

I'll take a look at it... there are a ton of new functions with cfscript type stuff.

I'll also take a look at it as soon as we move to CF9. I'm excited about the cfscript additions.

I took a look at cfeclipse and it looks like that project has stalled a bit and that it is unlikely that the cf9 stuff is going to get added (at least the thread i read made it seem that way). It wouldn't take too long to manually add the tags and later the functions. I'll also take a look at adding in some templates for a cfc and a cfc in script mode. I think that would be some value added.

Not sure also if they will update homesite with the documentation for 9 since cf builder is coming out or I would easily update the built in help thing I developed.

I just downloaded the dreamweaver extension update for cf9 and installed it into dreamweaver and it looks like that package might be helpful in providing some documentation, not sure what else it contains at this moment. I'll keep digging around in it.

CFB**** uses the same dictionary format as cfeclipse so if they update that you can snake that, but humorously there might be licensing issues with doing that.

I just dug around in the xml files for DW and it looks easy enough to use those...

Sweet. Yeah, work is currently just now moving everything to CF8
(cert expirations and other machine issues kinda forced our hand).
I've tried my hand at DW again, and it's just so painfully, woefully,
gruesomely buggy... I'd love to be able to continue in CFTextMate.

I'm stoked to hear that more work is still being done.
