I wanted to get some feedback from the group on what you guys think
about changing this application over to fusebox? For the majority of
users that are using this out of the box, this wont really make any
difference. You will just still copy all files, still use the same
xml files and everything, just the templates will change and some new
ones added. It could make updates easier down the road.

The only problem would be those of you that are taking the application
and disecting it and merging it into your own custom applications.
This still should not be hard (it actually may be a little easier) but
it would be a difference.

So whats the group about fusebox in general, and what are your
reactions to porting it over?

Thanks for your input in advance.

Hi Ryan,

I'm not a big fan of fusebox, but that is something personal I think.
My pref goes out to ModelGlue, but I think everyone has it's one choice
of framework.

Maybe it's an idea to have a core.cfc that does all the functionality
and anyone who want's to have it work in his framework of choice can
build there own front end for it???

Just my 2 cents, Michael

Well you're right, everyone will have their preference of frameworks.
I was thinking fusebox because this isn't a very large project, and
for those not familiar with frameworks at all, fusebox wouldn't be
very hard to follow. Again, the majority of users that I have talked
to just use it right out of the box and don't care how its done
though.

I also have not had a chance to start working with model-glue or
mach-ii yet, so that would increase my development time considerably.
Eventually I might be able to port it to all of the frameworks.

As far as the core cfc, I believe all of the actions except for the
controller stuff is already in a couple cfc's so you should be able to
do that anyway.

Thanks for the input, I guess we will see if we get any more opinions
and go from there.
