Asst Manager Aquaculture
DEPARTMENT:

POSITION REPORTS
TO:
(Note: Dual Line to Aquaculture and EMEA)
POSITION
PURPOSE:
Position is responsible
for superior customer service ensuring that all Aquaculture customers
concerns are handled in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
Emphasis on customer care, and ensuring customer delightment . Grow the Aquaculture business through
equipment sales as well as system sales.
PRINCIPAL
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
·
Ability
to review current aquaculture research and scientific literature, and
leverage this to benefit existing and potential clients
·
Familiarity
with current and emerging aquaculture species in the India Region,
including reproduction, hatchery, nursery, and grow-out
phases
·
General
knowledge of finfish and shellfish hatchery operation
·
Ability
to review, comprehend, and suggest changes in engineering
drawings
·
Working
knowledge of CAD software and processes would be an
advantage
·
Working
knowledge of the following areas:
o
Pipe
sizing, layout, and construction in aquaculture systems
o
Pump
sizing and specification in aquaculture systems
o
Required
unit processes of re-circulating aquaculture systems

solids
removal
§
biological
filtration
§
fine
and dissolved solids removal
§
aeration
and oxygenation
§
dissolved
gas removal
§
disinfection
processes
·
Relationship-selling,
partnering, and managing of accounts.
·
Call on/establish
relationships with resource referrals
·
Promote/sell/secure
orders from existing and potential customers.
·
Demonstrate products and
services and assist prospective dealers in the selection of those best
suited to their needs.
·
Strong activity of
product promotion
·
Familiarize
established accounts with new products, services, and developments
(market penetration).
·
Develop/maintain
close working relationship with Credit Department, Customer Service,
and Technical Services.
·
Provide technical support
·
Establish
professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer
personnel.
·
Prepare
documents such as price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates,
and service obligations.
·
Investigate policies and
notify company of competitive products, promotional sales, selling
techniques, pricing, warranties, and marketing policies.
·
Submit periodic reports
detailing activities/sales volumes/expenses.
·
Investigate and expedite
warranty claims and complaints in accordance with company
policies.
·
Conduct follow-up service
calls to all accounts to ensure satisfaction with all agreements
reached during sales approach.
·
Conduct all business
transactions in a manner that upholds the high ethical standards of
the Corporation.
·
Provide product and
service quotations and follow up.
·
Help ensure the success
of the consumer sales/marketing plan through sales efforts directed
toward dealers, facilities, organizations, professional clientele, and
end users.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND
ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational
skills are required. Must have ability to handle a
wide variety of projects with the knowledge of prioritizing
them. Excellent telephone skills and excellent
office skills including: i.e. personal computer, fax, copy machine,
telephone, etc.) Must be able to handle difficult customers. Must be
very detailed oriented.

EXPERIENCE AND
TRAINING:
·
At least 3 years
experience in sales within the Aquaculture environment.
·
Industry experience is
necessary.
·
Demonstrated aptitude for
problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers
(consultative sales approach).
·
Excellent communication
skills (verbal and written).
·
Good product
knowledge
·
Demonstrated initiative
(self-starter).
·
Flexible style (“do
whatever it takes” approach).
·
Availability for
overnight travel (minimum three nights per week).
·
Valid driver’s
license.
·
Good
computer
skills
.
·
Self-starter,
able to work without close supervision
·
Ability
to travel extensively for client visits as well as industry trade show
attendance
·
Ability
to provide troubleshooting services on-site and by phone
·
Personable,
able to establish good relationship with clients
·
Service-oriented,
delivery of services to clients in timely and efficient
manner
