Practically, I have a good relationship with the Upworthy folks … so down the road if we had a killer graphic or video or something we could probably make this happen again

Well I have shared it as well. It has the personal story and the motivation to share, but Upworthy has a much bigger following than us, not least because they share a variety of things that interest people. I can post our page or makebigbankspay petition as CFS as a comment if you want?

Sure, post our link not that I am expecting huge traffic as a result.  I want you to think about the criteria for our posts on Facebook.  Our lists are small right now but that may change soon as we may be getting state lists to drive folks to Facebook/Twitter (more later).   I think personal story and punchy headline are key. What else? Is thumbnail compelling? Close-up shots of people draw people on Facebook more than an image.   Is there anything different about the layout, are the images hyperlinked?

For personal stories I still really love the AZ Lilly Washington story -- but is all the video we have of her proprietary/from the TV station? There could be a great tie-in with her & the Vietnam vets's Purple Heart story alongside Elizabeth Warren's recent " People have hearts" line.  Maybe we could even start up a tumblr along the "people have hearts, banks are heartless" theme....

There's potential for that..there are a lot of nice images (of Teddy Roosevelt and his quotes about big business, of "defenses of liberalism" etc) around, we could perhaps link them to FB or Twitter? get some "sharability" out of it?

To do what Upworthy is doing, we need compelling graphics like this  http://www.upworthy.com/how-being-gay-can-cost-you-over-400k?rc=i. If we can find them, or get someone to create them, maybe that would be a step in the right direction? Depending on what the destination is?
