When I was trying to develop the foundations of a RESTful API for my
company a few months ago (http://api.pukkasoft.com/), the CFGURU list
came up almost snake eyes until Kevin Miller responded with what was
an insane amount of helpful information. He pointed me at Brian
Carr's PowerNAP project on RIAForge for publishing REST APIs and I
decided to make a google group out of it.

I expect there will be more interest in REST among the CF community,
both producing and consuming, so if this list serves no other purpose
today than to save the three of us from doing a CC: in an email, it
can only grow in value over time.

It is definitely interesting to note that although the concept of Rest
web services has been around for some time now, that there seems to be
very little public conversation within the ColdFusion community on the
subject of publishing such services. I'm very glad that you started
this group - I'm hoping to gain a lot of insight and learn a lot from
the participation of the members. Thanks Brian G.
