Hello

Call for Lightning Talk Speakers and BoF Survey Now Open

The Call For Speakers is now open for the big Lightning Talk bash happening at this year's cf.Objective() on Thursday Night. As we did for the initial Call for Speakers, we'll be using the Engage app to collect your submissions, so mosey on over to engage.cfobjective.com and submit a proposal to do a Lightning Talk!

Remember, we're looking for talks on any subject whatsoever - they do not have to be about software development or technology (but they can be). If you're not sure what this whole Pecha Kucha Lightning Talk thing is all about, check out this post that I wrote for last year's PK BoF, called Anyone Can Speak at cf.Objective! (for around six minutes).

We're also in the process of choosing which Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions to hold on Friday night. To gather some input from you, the attendees of cf.Objective() we've opened a BoF Survey via the Engage app as well. This will work just like the Topic Suggestion Survey we ran a few months ago. You can suggest BoF topics and vote for your favorites. Why not head over and suggest and/or vote now?

Scaling CFML Applications

Very often applications grow and you need to scale them out. With Google App Engine, Rackspace and Amazon AWS you have great tools in order to accomplish the scalability you need. But what do you need to do in order to scale your application? What are the best clustering options available, how to scale and what. This session mostly gathers the most important things I learned in 10 years of designing system architectures and scaling applications.

We thank Railo for their Gold Sponsorship and please stop by their table at the conference!
