<cfform> overhaul?

cfform used to be cool, but not anymore (especially the validate
part).

Any thought of doing a cfform overhaul? Improve validation? Maybe
make use of jQuery Validate or YUI or whatever?

How about one that generates markup's that are easy to style via CSS?

Just throwing out some ideas...

I'd be curious to hear more about how people are (or aren't) using CFFORM and if they aren't using it, how they'd like to see it change to make it compelling enough to use.

This was kind of one of the goals of the xforms stuff that was released in CF 7 (if I remember correctly) but I don't think anyone used that much.

Yep, CF 7 it was--you think I'd remember better given that I wrote an article about it. ;-)
