Starting Off

Hello everyone,

I'll do the honors so we can get going with some good ideas. My name
is Jean Ducrot and I have been monkeying around with CF for 11 years,
starting with CF 4.5. I learned CF while serving on active duty in the
US Air Force. After my tour ended, I worked as a contractor for the US
Army and the State of NY. I am currently happily employed by a DC
based company (www.interfolio.com) as a 100% remote developer from
Albany, NY.

I've come to this group after meeting Steven at a BOF on open source
apps development during CFObjective() 2011. We both agreed that the CF
community's size does not do justice to the talent of its members and
the power of its language.

I want to do my part. I've decided to throw my inhibitions to the wind
(ok maybe not all of them) and land a helping hand to increase the
visibility and respect of CF and its community.

I look forward to share and discussing some good ideas with all of
you!
