Hey Folks,
Jason Blum put an interesting idea to me about using google moderator
so that good topics dont get lost in the archives.

What are your feelings about using or switching fully to google
moderator?

I have very little experience with this myself so I'm going to go with
the consensus of the group.

Thanks
Steven

Just to elaborate a bit, I think this discussion list still plays a fundamental role in facilitating community.

My fear is just that CFML programmers tend to be creative - to have more ideas for things to do than they have time to do them, and that there's a potential for those ideas to get lost.

So what I'd like to see is a social repository of concisely described ideas for applications to build.

And Google Moderator seems perfect because you have to keep things short, you can vote ideas up or down, or offer brief feedback such as "already been done - see http://...", "Great idea, how can I contribute?", etc.

For example, had an idea for an app the other day I know I'll never get around to building, but which I think someone should:

This is the first time that I have ever seen google moderator and it seems very cool.  I like the idea of a central repository of "ideas" and hopefully it will catch on.

I fully support!
