We are pleased to announce that the next CFMIP meeting will be held jointly with the concluding meeting of the EUCLIPSE project, and will be hosted by KNMI at Hotel Zuiderduin in Egmond aan Zee in the Netherlands.
The timing and location has been chosen to support consecutive attendance with the Seventh International Scientific Conference on the Global Energy and Water Cycle which will be held in The Hague the following week.
The themes of the CFMIP/EUCLIPSE meeting will be:
1. Understanding and evaluating cloud feedbacks, adjustments and climate sensitivity in climate models
2. Precipitation in a changing climate
3. Cloud/circulation coupling
4. Process based evaluation of clouds and cloud controlling factors in climate models
There will also be opportunities to discuss the themes of the WCRP Grand Challenge on Clouds, Circulation and Climate Sensitivity, and proposed experiments for CFMIP3/CMIP6.
A preliminary agenda is now available - please see below.
Please note that this agenda may be subject to minor changes, although it is not expected that the order of the sessions will change.
More information on this meeting will be forthcoming at the EUCLIPSE website:
