Hello All,

at last weeks meeting a few additional cfsites were mentioned.  Could someone please post the new sites so that we can get them into our code before we start our runs?

In addition, I am struggling to fully understand the data request for the piControl run as it pertains to cfmip variables.

It appears to me that cfsites output is requested for 165 years of the piControl run between 1850-2014.  Can someone confirm this reading?

Thank you in advance,
Levi Silvers

Dear Levi,

The new sites are under discussion but we haven't finalised them
yet. When we do we will formally announce them on the cfmi[-contacts
mailing list and provide the details. The extra ones will be optional
so anyone who needs to start their experiments new is free to press
on if they wish to. I'm hoping we can finalise the extra locations
and formally announce them by the end of next week.

My understanding that CFMIP requests cfsites data in AMIP:

CFMIP, CFMIP.CFsubhr, amip [CFMIP.CFsubhr]: CFMIP sub-houly data at specific sites (121) (79 variables)
CFMIP, CFMIP-CFsubhrNew, amip [CFMIP-CFsubhrNew]: CFMIP: CFMIP-CFsubhrNew (13 variables)

and experiment group Cfmip1

amip-4xCO2: f16d4312-dd9e-11e6-b89b-ac72891c3257
amip-p4K: f16d3ef8-dd9e-11e6-b89b-ac72891c3257

CFMIP, CFMIP.CFsubhr, CFMIP-1 [CFMIP.CFsubhr]: CFMIP sub-houly data at
specific sites (121) (79 variables)
CFMIP, CFMIP-CFsubhrNew, CFMIP-1 [CFMIP-CFsubhrNew]: CFMIP:
CFMIP-CFsubhrNew (13 variables)

Is see that the CFMIP cfsites tables are requested in piControl,
but they are requested by AerChemMIP, not CFMIP:

AerChemMIP, CFsubhr, piControl [CFsubhr]: CFMIP sub-houly data at specific sites (121) (79 variables)

Personally I have no idea why AerChemMIP are requesting these for 165
years in the piControl!

If you wish to include them for the benefit of AerChemMIP, that's fine
but please don't include them on CFMIP's account!

Hope that helps.
