 The Company

Our client is a leading Tier 1 organisation based in Macquarie Park, at present due to growth they are seeking an Analyst Programmer with experience in both Coldfusion and PHP MySQL.

 

The Role

The primary role of Analyst Programmer is to provide software development services to the business.

Activities supporting this role include:

 

Building scripts in PHP MySQL and Coldfusion based environment

•       Take provided business requirements and:

•       Produce Solution Documentation where appropriate

•       Build data entry/validation screens in our  Internal Systems

•       System Test of those configured items to ensure quality

•       Delivery of test items to formal test area.

•       Implementing urgent system changes required due to a fault or incident.

•       Conduct analysis and problem rectification, including system changes required to prevent a recurrence of the incident

 

Other Tasks.

•       Provide input to regular reports on system availability, useability, performance, incidents, root causes and other measurements;

•       Define requirements for system change requests, and where appropriate, conduct design/build/implement activities to ensure change requests are delivered appropriately;

•       Assist in the maintenance of systems operations at required levels as defined by Service Level Agreements. Activities supporting this role include:

•       Actively drive incident resolution and system restoration;

•       Define requirements for system change requests, and where appropriate, conduct design/build/implement activities to ensure change requests are delivered appropriately;

 

Essential Requirements

•       Commercial experience of Coldfusion (preferable version 8), PHP and JavaScript.

•       Commercial experience of MySQL database, or other enterprise level Relational Databases (eg SQL-Server, Informix, Oracle)

•       Commercial experience of SQL Language

•       Good general Communications skills (presentation, listening, explaining)

 

Desirable Requirements

•       Experience migrating between Coldfusion Versions

•       Commercial Programming in any other functional language (C,C++, Java)

•       Exposure to web programming such as JavaScript, PHP, Coldfusion

•       Incident analysis and resolution

•       Document management, revisions and change management

•       Knowledge

•       Understanding of Telephony / Mobile and Data product would be advantageous.
