Folks, if you are part of a local peace, justice, or environmental not-for-profit group and you need to fundraise, here's a good opportunity coming up...

The various groups/organizations associated with the 1 in 10 Coalition & Cultivating Food Justice would qualify, but I'm sure you know others that might be interested as well -- so please forward to your friends!

Thanks,
Mariah

To: Mariah Gayler <mar...@prcsd.org>

Hello friends,

The Peace on Earth Holiday Bazaar is accepting tabling applications!

Whether you have participated in the past or not, we invite you to join us for this great fundraising/outreach opportunity for small not-for-profit groups. The deadline is about two weeks away (Nov 15th). We encourage you to apply and tell others (it's great to have new groups).

Below is more information and the online application -- we strongly encourage filling out the paperless version (link is also at website), but attached is our invite in PDF version in case you need/want to use that. Either way, please apply ASAP because the event does fill up!

If you have questions, please check the website www.peacebazaar.net or contact us.

Tabling Application for Peace Bazaar, Sat. 12/8/12

Dear Friends, We would like to invite your organization to take part in the annual Peace on Earth Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, December 8th, 2012 at the Mid-City Gym, 43rd St & Landis St, San Diego, 92105. If your group would like to join... Please apply right away because SPACE IS LIMITED. We often reach full capacity before the deadline. For over 20 years, the "Peace Bazaar" has promoted alternative holiday gift giving by offering people the opportunity to purchase violence-free, socially responsible gifts from nonprofit and grassroots groups working for peace, social justice, and the environment through nonviolent means. In the past, groups have raised funds at the bazaar with greeting cards, books, t-shirts, gift memberships, seedlings, posters, CDs, handicrafts, baked goods, children's face painting, etc. You are encouraged to be creative! Set-up begins at 9am. Open to Public from 10-2pm Take-down begins at 2pm Must be out by 3pm FEES: This year is purely based on physical space. Participants can choose one of three options: one 6-foot table ($24), two 6’ tables ($48), or three 6’ tables ($72). We include two chairs for each group. The fees cover the facility costs, flyers, mailings, tables, chairs and other expenses. TO APPLY: Fill out the form below (preferred) or mail the paper form with your check (visit www.peacebazaar.net for PDF). Only not-for-profit community groups are eligible. And remember, to apply ASAP because space is limited and could run out (yes, it's happened!). DEADLINE: Thursday, November 15th, 2012. If you apply online, you have until midnight. If you are mailing the form, it must include your check and be postmarked NO LATER THAN Nov. 15th. An email or phone message will NOT reserve your space – you must submit the form online or with a check by mail. The SUCCESS of the whole Peace Bazaar depends on EVERYONE HELPING WITH PUBLICITY. Even if your organization decides not to set up a table at the Peace Bazaar, please help us publicize this important justice-building event to your membership! We look forward to your participation.
