Hey everyone,

Thanks to everyone who came last night! I'd especially like to thank Reid and Marcello from Goldman Sachs for taking the time to come up here and present to CFIG.

Were hosting an information session with Citi Group coming up on Tue. 11/1 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the Center for Career Education Conference room. Everyone is welcome to come and the dress code is business casual.

The Trader's Trophy has been scheduled for Thu. 10/27 in the Wien Lounge. There are limited spots so there is a registration process. I will send out an email to everyone tomorrow with more information on the times and how to register.

We are hosting an information session with Credit Suisse on Mon. 10/24 in 303 Mudd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with free pizza. The event is geared towards juniors but I encourage everyone to come. You can register here. The dress code is also business casual.

Don't forget to come to the TRACT event "Financial Crisis or Humanity Crisis" featuring professors Robert Thurman and Marcellus Andrews on Thu. 10/17 at 5:00 PM in the Roone Alredge Cinema in Lerner.

I've attached more information on UBS Asia's upcoming NYC information session on Tue. 11/8. We'd like for Columbia to have a good showing.

In the meantime, here are some other interesting opportunities:

The University Private Equity Summit:

My name is Nikola Mijic, and I am an associate with the University Venture Fund, the largest student run venture capital fund in the country.  We are organizing a student conference in January, " The University Private Equity Summit."  It is an excellent way for aspiring business professionals to learn the ins and outs of private equity, venture capital, investment banking, and consulting.  I have attached the flyer for this year's conference that has details on the event as well as registration information. Note that the speakers on the flyer are from previous years, and speakers for this year's conference will be of the same caliber.  I would really appreciate any marketing to your club about our conference and any other students who would be interested in attending the conference.

Please contact me via email or telephone with any questions you may have, and feel free to pass along my email and phone number to those who are interested.

Thanks
