I thought I went completely under the radar this
time, but no; I'm quoted in an e-article.
Mentioned in the article is the reaction of
frustration and vexation by Leo, Cargill, and Mercer, claiming that they don't
understand why we're ratting this creationism/ID vs. evolution thing to
death. Just prior to my testimony, Leo specifically asked Chairwoman
Cargill if they were required to listen to us if we didn't talk about what was
germane, because she didn't want to go over ground testimony had covered on
previous occasions. She was quite angry.
Well, gang, we do what we do with good
reason. First, because we're right.
Second, because past actions have demonstrated a
need for vigilance on the part of those who value mainstream evolutionary
science.
Third, one of the supplementary materials that was
recently proposed and nixed (earlier this week) by the TEA (thankyouverymuch)
were published by a known source of Intelligent Design
literature.
Fourth, because we have an understanding of an old
shaggy-dog story that Leo, Cargill, and Mercer can appreciate:
There was a preacher who preached of love one
Sunday. On the following Sunday, he gave the exact same sermon.
Every Sunday for a long time (you get the idea...)... Finally, someone
asked him why he was doing the same sermon over and over again. He said,
"I will keep preaching it until you get it right."
Same goes for this, ya'll.
Best,
Clare
