Hi everyone!
I just received a call from Kim Hosley at the OCBA and they are doing a diversity seminar on March 31st. They have reserved a slot from 4pm to 5pm for LGBT issues. I thought an important issue to address is the fact that Florida (and most states) have no workplace protections for LGBT individuals. Aside from individual ordinances, you can still be fired for being gay in Florida.
I thought a great person to speak regarding the status of the law in this field would be employment attorney Mary Meeks, who we all know very well. Mary has agreed to do it for us, so I am very thankful.
Once I get final details from the OCBA, I will blast to our members.
