CFEclipse Installation and CFLint Dependency

to CFEclipse Users

Trying to install CFEclipse on:

Eclipse IDE for Java Developers

Version: Neon.2 Release (4.6.2)

Build id: 20161208-0600.

Getting the following error:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

Software being installed: CFEclipse (including MXUnit and Frameworks) 1.5.2.201612262348 (org.cfeclipse.cfml.feature.feature.group 1.5.2.201612262348)

Missing requirement: CFEclipse (including MXUnit and Frameworks) 1.5.2.201612262348 (org.cfeclipse.cfml.feature.feature.group 1.5.2.201612262348) requires 'org.cfeclipse.cflint 1.0.10' but it could not be found.

Next I installed the latest CFParser http://cfeclipse.org/cfparser/update/ and CFLint from http://cfeclipse.org/cflint/update/

I noticed that the latest version of CFLint is 1.0.0.20xxxx.

When trying again to install CFEclipse I get the same error. Seems to be looking for CFLint version 1.0.10. but the latest available is 1.0.0.20xxxx.

Is there a work around to install CFEclipse?

Try adding dev-Update site
http://cfeclipse.org/update-dev/

Bernhard, that did the trick. It found the version of CFLint it needed and completed the install. Thanks for replying!

Using the dev-update site worked for me as well. The imstaller did find and recommend some updates to the previously installed CFLint.

This appears to be fixed now. The build put out a stale version of the
CFLint plugin and I didn't notice. FWIW, the plugin development update
site (http://cfeclipse.org/cflint/update-dev) is driven off of CI now,
so a new version of the plugin should be built shortly after the latest
snapshot of CFLint is built.
