I've been trying to add SnipEx servers to my 1.3.1.5 install of
CFEclipse and have been getting null argument errors. I've tried
clearing the SnipEx cache and that didn't help. I work on a military
base and I thought it might be an issue with external sites getting
through the firewall or content filter, so I setup SnipEx on a local
server (Win2k, MSSQL 2k, CFMX7). I copied the .cfc files to the root
of our production site, setup the tables and added a record (per
the .sql file), setup the DSN in CFAdmin, and mod'd the
Application.cfc to reflect the DSN. I'm still getting the 'Null
Argument' error.

Another funky thing: I just added CFLib.org's SnipEx server
successfully to my home-install of CFEclipse (same version, off-base).

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Seth

Yes. I tried:

http://cfsnippets.org/model/snippets/snipEx/snipEx.cfc
http://www.cflib.org/snipex/snipex.cfc

Both were unsuccessful as well as my local attempt.

sorry for the forward - can't seem to reply to this thread from within Google Groups.

Im getting same error.  In attached screen shot, notice, cfsnippets and cflib are fine.  But my local repository is blank, and when I click on it or try to add anything, I get that error.

I used Aaron's ms sql scripts (http://www.trajiklyhip.com/blog/index.cfm/2007/9/4/SnipEx-SQL-Server-Scripts)

and entered the first row in lib (though Im a little unclear on what the value of parent should be - I tried both 0 and 1)

Everything seems to work ok on the server side.  I created a little test.cfm invoking SnipEx.getLibrary('1') and it outputs in XML the first line I entered.

I'm probably just doing something wrong - but my rule of thumb is: on 31st minute of beating head on desk, ask someone.
