There are a couple simple features I would consider "must haves" that
I'd like to see added to the File Explorer View. To whom should I send
some beer to start the conversation? :-)

Thanks.

Just curious...

Have you looked through the existing bugs/tickets to see if anyone else has requested the same changes?

Let us know what you'd like to see...

Jim

Hi Jim. I looked through, but it seems that either I'm blind or just
silly. In any event, here's what I'm looking for:

1. File Datestamps in the file list
2. Ability to rename files with a right click or by pressing F2.

I know it's a bit tougher, but folder and file drag/drop to copy would
be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

No there are a lot of bugs to chug through...

I will say typically the File Explorer view isn't used much in Eclipse since it's 'project' based and really expects you to work via the "Navigator"

I've been using CFBuilder and it has a robust file view and  I've never used it... :)

I was curious if it supported your requests:

1) No file datestamps
2) Rename supported via right click

I believe Denny is using a third party solution for the File Explorer in the later CFEclipse builds so this functionality *may* be in there but just not implemented.

Hopefully Denny while chime in and let us know if it's possible...

Hi Jim...

CFBuilder looks like a drop-in replacement for CF Studio... is that
correct? Do you know if it supports RDS and is it backward compatible
with CF 5?

(see, I just upgraded to Windows 7 and a new machine and am hoping to
dump CF Studio, which I've gotten fairly used to for the last, um, 11
years. It's hard to say goodbye to such an old friend...)

I think the only thing the two (CFStudio and CFBuilder) have in common is they both have "CF" in the name. :)

CFBuilder is based on Eclipse and is very similar to CFEclipse. CFBuilder does support RDS - how much so depends on your development environment.
