So that is some of what we will comment on today. Bill Clinton was eloquent and sincere in his speech and ,I think, trying to show that Hillary Clinton has been making change that makes things better for people since she was a college student and has never stopped. The persistence and variety of her contributions of time, energy and intelligence to improving the conditions under which we all live in the USA, and more recently as Secretary of State in the World, is staggering. When Bill tried to lay the scope of all this out in his speech the individuals who commented after the speech were clearly disturbed and uncomfortable about how to react. Such impressive accomplishments and such a relentless focus is not what they are used to finding or commenting on when it is the life of a woman. Their faces said "who knew?" We know so little in the USA about our female citizens and their constant, quiet, essential and profound contributions. It is great to find the light shine on one of them.

Finally! They wanted to take on 'Big Tobacco' first. Just to get the hang of it... taking on huge corporations with BIG bucks. Now they are ready to take on Big Oil! This is when I really feel great respect for lawyers. At least the ones that are willing to spend a lifetime holding corporations accountable for lying, fraud and general bad behavior. They 'step up' and speak truth to 'power'. And I put power in quotes because it is a 'paper tiger' type of power and will eventually fall... and fall hard.

ExMo continues down the 'old school' path of economics, all profit all the time and devil take the hindmost. They are the ones that are on a "dangerous and obsolete path," (CEO Tillerson's words in the ExMo publication, The Lamp), and their actions are destroying climate and lives. What is happening with Climate is much worse than the banking collapse of 2007 which was brought on by fraudulent actions on their part. Climate destruction by petrol chemical company fraudulent selling and promotion is taking us all down, for a final count. We have better energy solutions, we have better economic solutions. ExMo is not too big to fail and fail they must and all their petrol buddies. When they scream to be bailed out we will recognize that tune and turn a deaf ear. We can see a better day a better way.

After scanning the vast reaches of the cosmos for Earth-like planets where life might exist, astronomers have found one right next door.

A planet that's rocky like Earth and only slightly bigger has been discovered orbiting Proxima Centauri the nearest star to our solar system, scientists reported Wednesday. It is probably in the not-too-hot, not-too-cold Goldilocks Zone where liquid water — a key to life — is possible, if the planet has an atmosphere.

And it is a mere 4.22 light-years from Earth, or nearly 25 trillion miles.

It is easily the closest potentially habitable planet ever detected outside our solar system — and one that could be reachable by tiny, unmanned space probes before the end of the century, in time for some people alive today to witness it.

The international team of astronomers that announced the discovery did not actually see the planet but deduced its existence indirectly, by using telescopes to spot and precisely calculate the gravitational pull on the star by a possible orbiting body.
