As Buckminster Fuller said, "environment is stronger than will." Even though we know what is right and fair, our environment, specifically the economic environment, powerfully influences us to behave sometimes without humanity and without compassion. Why are black people afraid of the police, why are the police afraid, why has living in economic distress and insecurity become a crime?
