Observing the GOP crowd encourage the Cruz and Rubio supporters to come out and support Drumph (a.k.a., the presumptive Republican nominee) is both predictable and pathetic. If the mainline extremists couldn't win, let's follow the outside extremist?  Is history about to repeat the German and Italian experiences with fascism leading up to WWII?

They are afraid of democrats and socialism?  Let's do away with our armed forces, our public schools, colleges, and universities, let's cut research grants to private colleges and universities, let's do away with our libraries, our law enforcement agencies, our fire departments, maintaining our national highways, rail lines, local, state, and national parks and forests, let's do away with our motor vehicle offices, licenses, let us not enforce laws, let criminals literally get away with violence and murder, let's let the oligarchs do whatever they want to (oh, yes, we already encourage that), anyone getting the picture yet?  What has the GOP ever done for it's rank and file supporters?  Come up with a real good example now.  Even Ronald Reagan couldn't win the nomination in this current political environment.

My father started out as a social studies teacher and then became a school administrator.  At a very young age he instilled the following saying in my psyche: "The only purpose of government is to do for us what we cannot do better for ourselves."  Anyone feel like building a superhighway? Dealing with financial institutions too big to fail?  Letting the private sector exercise eminent domain (oops, they already can)?  Maintaining the semblance of a civil society?

One thing all legislatures ought to be required to do is to eliminate two laws for every one they pass.  By the way, which candidate did the Vatican invite to Rome and why?
