Training Opportunity
Unicode Khmer and Open Office Application
Date: 27th-29th January, 2010 Time: 8:00-12:00 and 2:00-5:00
Introduction
In line with its 5 years strategic plan and in cooperation with Open Institute and Oxfam Australia, CCC is going to provide a 3 days basic computer training course on using Khmer Unicode and Open Office package for office work. This course is designed to improve knowledge and skills of NGOs staff in using new software (Unicode) in their daily work. Unicode enable to type Khmer font faster than ever without press Atl+Ctrl or Atl+Ctrl+Shift keys. Open Office software can be used with free license and can distribute for free.
The training will provide you enhanced skills and benefits in using computer for office work as below:
1. Unicode Khmer Font is now widely used in Cambodia (public and private sectors) so this greatly enhance timely and efficient file sharing.
2. Unicode Khmer will enable faster typing.
3. Using Open Office Software is legal with free license.
4. Using Open Office as Khmer language such as:
a. Open office. writer
b. Open office. Calc
c. Open office. Impress
5. More Perfect Khmer Font Style.
6. No English knowledge required.
Course facilities
Training course will open only for a maximum of 18 participants only who are from entire NGO community in Cambodia in both Phnom Penh and provinces. CCC will cover only all expenses related to course tuition, facilitator/trainers fee and materials to registered participants.
Participants
This training course is open for persons who have at least basic knowledge of using some of the computer programs and commit to attend the course fully and use what they have learned to improve their daily communication and documentation.

The training venue
Training will be at Open Institute (19, Street 374, Tuol Svay Prey I, Chamcar Morn, Phnom Penh), and maximum classroom is 18, therefore booking will be on a first come first served basis. Please feel free to contact me through the contact information below for further information or registration.
