As part of the CFD cycling team I feel we should support this ride as best we can. I am planning to ride out to Gary with the riders. If you are interested please let me know ASAP so we can coordinate our efforts. Also if our team kits are in I would like to wear them for the ride. Let's represent. I live by mike so I can pick up kits for you northsiders and bring them to the ride at the academy on tuesday. Once again please consider coming out for a good cause and to promote the CFD cycling team and show our support.

Here is the info that I received from Rich Pinskey, one of the main guys with Ignite the Spirit. Please read below. If you can make it out there on Tues to the Fire Academy and ride along side of them that would be great. Again I will not be able to make the trip but am very interested in going from Kenosha to Chicago on the way back. If someone could help organize our group that would be great. Things to thing about. A turn around point / or pick up van for the trip out. Be there for support, help block the wind. Lead the pack, teach or pass on info that I have taught you.

Mike we would love to have you guys on our kickoff and return it will be nice to see familiar faces and a huge boost for our team. I have had contact with the Glencoe fire dept and they want to jump in with us on the final day. Mike this thing has gone full circle with me and now understand the magnitude in what we are really doing. I hope every city in the country hears our story to see what kind of world class men and woman we have on this job. I can't say enough great things for what these 12 riders are doing not only for me but our fight against Pediatric Cancer. Our story should be told and people need that help is on the way.
Mike we are leaving the Fire Academy at 9:00 am on Tuesday and heading south towards Gary. Are first day will take us 93 miles and our first night will be spent in Stevensville MI.
Our last day will be May 29th and we will be leaving Kenosha at 9:00 am heading south to our final stop the Fire Academy.
Mike let me know what you guys are thinking and let me know.
Mike any money that you guys have raised can be given to be on Tuesday and we really appreciate anything you guys did for our cause. I hope you make it on Tuesday to the Academy because i would really love you to met Matt and Susan the parents of Hank and the creator of the 41 and 9 Foundation.

We are still looking for a few $200 shirt sponsors for our Bike to Fight Children Cancer shirts. The sponsors name will go on the back of our shirt with all of the other sponsors and we will sell them at our event May 8th at the Cubby Bear. The event is the final step before we take to the steets and ride our bikes around Lake Michigan to promote awareness and to help find a cure for Children's Cancer.
We would also like to invite everyone to come out and party to find a cure. We are hosting that party at Cubby Bear corner of Addison and Clark May 8th from 4:00 to 8:00, a donation of $30 will get you food, beer, wine or pop and a chance to hear one of the best bands in the Chicago Imposter Radio. We will have split the pot, raffles and our $20 grand raffle will be picked. So come out and enjoy a night of fun and to help fight this terrible disease lets fight it together.
