Hi,

I was looking over my scheduled tasks on a production server and
noticed "cachebox \\path\to\cacheboxservice.cfc" running ever 1
minute.

Can I delete the task? Does this need to be every min? Can you give
me some more info on it? I read the pdf page 16, but it doesn't give
much about tweaking the task.

Thanks Isaac, I have really enjoyed CacheBox.

Thanks Mike! :)

And sorry I haven't been around the community much lately. Been busy
with some other responsibilities at home and finishing up my divorce.

If you created a custom config.cfc for your cachebox installation, you
should be able to change the interval on that scheduled task in the
config. Check the defaultconfig.cfc (I think that's what it's named) -
there should be some comments in it near the top, explaining what each
of those settings are. Otherwise, if you just set it in the cf admin,
then if the server gets restarted for a security update or something,
the cachebox code will put it back to whatever it's configured for.

On most passes on that scheduled task, there should be very little
overhead, because it should just be riffling the storage, logging the
current meta info (available memory, number of items in cache, etc.),
finding that there's nothing to reap and then terminating. Does it need
to check that often? I'm not sure -- I suspect that will depend a great
deal on your production environment, what kind of load you're handling
and what storage types your using.

Anyway, I hope this info is helpful. :)

Take care Mike!
